Après Ski Near Mount Snow

A fire pit, a real cocktail, warm food, and live local music — ten minutes south of the base on Route 100.

Where the day ends.

When the lifts stop at Mount Snow, the valley funnels back onto Route 100. Trail 87 is five miles south of the base in West Dover — close enough to hit on the way back to the house, far enough that you're not still standing in a lift line.

The bar après ski was made for.

One of the more serious cocktail programs in the Mount Snow area: classics built to spec, seasonal originals leaning into smoke and spice through ski season, a deep whiskey selection, and a beer list anchored by Vermont breweries. Hot drinks too.

Fire pit and a warm room.

The outdoor fire pit runs when the weather cooperates and the room stays warm when it doesn't — a settle-in place for a crew of four off the hill or a table of twelve comparing notes.

Food that holds up after a day of skiing.

Creative comfort food with global flavors: a smash burger that doesn't apologize for itself, shareable plates pulling from Korean, Mexican, and Italian playbooks, and seasonal chef's dishes. Two plates at the bar or a full dinner — the full kitchen runs right through.

Live local music most weekends.

Vermont musicians play most weekends — folk, americana, blues. No cover.

Groups coming off the mountain.

Regular dining is walk-in only, so expect a wait on busy Saturdays. Parties of six or more can reserve by emailing Contact@trail87.com at least 48 hours ahead with a card on file. Family-style takeout and ski-house catering will feed a whole rental.
